Mushroom Head Spikes Powers Fasteners 10 mm Mushroom Head Spikes were used throughout one of the project for fastening galvanized steel plates covering expansion joints and concrete seams.
The Mushroom Headed Spikes were selected in both Mechanically Galvanized steel and
Stainless Steel and provided an aesthetic smooth appearance with the added benefit of being vandal proof. The High Tension and Shear strengths achieved with 10 mm Spikes plus the fast speed of installation ensured the designerĄŻs criteria was met.
A 10mm diameter hole in the concrete was drilled through the pre- punched clearance holes in the cover plate and Spikes driven in.
Fast to install with considerably higher load capacities to that of competitors mechanical expansion anchors Powers Spikes proved once again that the designerĄŻs choice can be the installers favourite.
The Spike range covers various diameters and head styles with both Countersunk, Tie- wire versions used extensively through out the project as well.
